The Good Samaritan Hospital Bone Density Radiology Department offers the highest level of up-to-date diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to perform the procedure in 15 minutes. Bone Density and other comprehensive diagnostic tests and screenings are now available in the Women's Health Center.

What do I need to bring?

You must bring a prescription from your doctor. A phone order from your doctor is acceptable. You must bring your referral if required by your insurance carrier and any insurance information that the hospital may need.

How do I prepare for the procedure?

  • You should not have this procedure if you are or think you may be pregnant.
  • This procedure should not be performed following certain tests. This information will be explained to you when you schedule your appointment.
  • You may eat and take all medications as prescribed by your physician.

What must I pay?

This is directly related to your insurance carrier. Call 368-5022 for information regarding this.

Procedures are performed every hour on the hour between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Bone Density Radiology Department is located on the first floor of the hospital.
