Our Cat Scan Department offers the highest level of up-to-date diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Our state-of-the-art Computerized Tomography (CT) specializes in high-speed spiral technology. Diagnostic scanning that previously took 30 minutes now takes 76 seconds!
We also perform non-invasive Computer Tomography (CT) guided procedures including liver and lung biopsy and drainage.

What do I need to bring?
You must bring a prescription from your doctor. A phone order from your doctor is acceptable. You must bring your referral if required by your insurance carrier and any insurance information that the hospital may need.
How do I prepare for the procedure?
- If you are over 65 years, or have diabetes or renal disease you will need to have a BUN / Creatinin blood test prior to the procedure.
- Some procedures require that you do not eat from midnight prior to the procedure. Instructions will be given to you when you schedule your procedure.
What if I am pregnant?
You must alert the hospital when you schedule your appointment if you are or think you may be pregnant.
Can I take my medication?
Depending on the test being performed, you may not be able to take certain medications. Instructions will be given to you when you schedule the procedure.
What must I pay?
This is directly related to your insurance carrier. Call 368-5022 for information regarding this.
The Radiology Department is located on the first floor of the hospital and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Emergency diagnostic procedures are available around the clock in the Level II Trauma center.
