Echocardiograms, Vascular Lab and Ultrasound procedures provide physicians with important diagnostic information to treat heart and vascular disease. This department, offering state-of-the-art diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients, is a member of the American College of Radiology. All of our cardiologists, technologists and Registered Nurses are board certified. Our staff of 12 radiologists, 5 ultrasound/vascular lab sonographers and 2 echnotechnologists performs over 13,000 procedures each year.
When you come to the Echocardiogram / Vascular Lab / Ultrasound Department, please bring insurance information as well as your physician referral. A phone referral from your physician is also accepted, but please bring a written referral if required by your insurance carrier.
You will receive instructions about preparation for the procedure, including instructions for eating before the test and instructions for taking your current medication, when the appointment is made.
The Vascular Lab / Ultrasound is open Monday through Friday, 7am to 7pm. The Echo lab is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday / Sunday from 8am to 4pm. These procedures are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies.
