The beautiful weather contributed to the day’s success, along with the delicious food and the laughter of children as they enjoyed the fun ride, moonwalk, and face painting.

Hal Fogel Memorial Scholarship

We are excited to announce that Kristin Harding of Pearl River has been awarded a $500 Hal Fogel Memorial Scholarship from the Good Sam Ice Cream Ride ‘n’ Stride!

Whether you walk, run, or ride, if you are 13 – 19 years old, you were eligible to apply for a scholarship, by submitting a 100-word essay on “What Fitness Means to Me,” with your race application. The scholarship award is based on the best essay. The Sneakers 5K Walk /10K Run was founded five years ago to memorialize a special individual, Hal Fogel. In his honor, Sandy Alexander, Inc. has endowed The Hal Fogel Memorial Scholarship.
