Medical- Staff Library Serving Rockland, Orange and Northern Bergen Counties
My name is Frank Appell and I am the Medical Librarian at Good Samaritan Hospital.
I'd like to tell you a little about the library and its services.
The Medical-Staff Library (also known as the Caroline D. Schwartz Medical Library) is a reference and research library funded by the Medical Staff and Hospital Administration. Its primary purpose is to provide information and referral services appropriate to the professional, technical, educational, administrative and research needs of the entire Medical and Hospital Staff. It does this through a variety of services: data base searching, document retrieval (from books and journals), current awareness, Loansome Doc remote ordering of documents for physicians), in-library INTERNET accessibility, and "patient information" for doctors.
Collections and services can be accessed via drop-in (stop-by) visit, phone call, FAX, or email. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome.
Hours of Operation The Medical Library is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
