The Physical Therapy Department at Good Samaritan Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient treatments to individuals with cancer. Physical therapy programs are designed to restore your maximum level of physical functioning and help you regain your independence, mobility and strength, which is often compromised. A customized program is developed for you after a therapist evaluates your muscle strength, joint function, posture, flexibility, pain, and ability to perform daily activities. This program may consist of Lymphedema management, Therapeutic Exercises, Gait and Transfer training, Balance and Endurance training, and Pain Relief Strategies and is based on your personal evaluation and your physician’s recommendations.
The Department is located on the second floor in the hospital and is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please call the Physical Therapy Department directly at (845) 368-5253 for further information or to schedule an appointment.
