The Regional Kidney Center, a service of Good Samaritan Hospital of Suffern, NY, is a beautiful new facility that continues the hospital's long tradition of compassionate, quality care for members of our community.

Location and Hours:
The Regional Kidney Center is conveniently located and accessible to public transportation at 33-1 Route 17M, Harriman, NY, on the Shortline Bus route and close to the New York Thruway. For those who are eligible, help with transportation arrangements is available.

The Center is open from 7:00am to 10PM Monday through Saturday. Special consideration is given to those who are employed or visiting our area.

Services:
A 10 station unit, the Center provides ongoing Hemodialysis and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis to patients who require kidney replacement therapies. Total computerization of the state-of-the-art facility provides complete on-line monitoring, calculations and tailoring of care for each patient - assuring adequacy of treatment.

The Center is equipped with an isolation station for patients with special needs.

Ongoing educational services help patients and their families to understand the illness and treatment options. The Center can provide training and follow-up home dialysis services such as CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) or CCPD (Continuous Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis).

Patients amenities include a beautiful country setting with mountain views, comfortable sun-filled rooms and individual patient color television sets.

Healthcare Staff:
The highly trained Board Certified staff includes physicians, nephrology nurses, hemokialysis technicians as well as social worker and dietitians, all dedicated and knowledgeable caregivers who take pride in providing the best in comprehensive renal care.

Payments:
Dialysis treatment is most often covered under Medicare insurance. Our social workers will provide guidance and assistance with individual questions.
