The Speech-Language Pathology Department provides a wide variety of speech, language and swallowing therapies to inpatients and outpatients, as well as home care services to adults, children, and infants.

Our staff is made up of caring professionals, nationally certified and licensed in New York State.

  • Services offered by the Speech-Language department include:
  • Dysphagia Therapy - for patients with difficulty swallowing; diagnostic videofluoroscopic swallowing exams are available.
  • Language Therapy - for adults with comprehension and / or expressive language deficits or children with a language delay or disorder.
  • Speech Therapy - for patients of any age who have weak oral / facial muscles, imprecise articulation, or poor speech intelligibility.
  • Voice Therapy - for patients with laryngeal problems such as irritation, polyps, or nodules.
  • Cognitive Therapy - for patients with memory, attention, or problem solving deficits as a result of neurological impairments.
  • Accent Modification - for foreign and regional accent reduction.
  • Early Intervention Services - for infants from 0-3 years old. Addresses oral-motor and speech/language development.

Referral by a physician is required. Early Intervention referrals are from the Department of Health. Most insurance is accepted. Please check with your carrier..
