Warwick, NY – Patients seeking comfortable and convenient infusion therapy can now utilize the Outpatient Infusion Center at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, NY.

The quiet and relaxing Infusion center is designed for the growing number of patients who are healthy enough to go home, but still need to visit the hospital for infusion therapies. These include but are not limited to long term intravenous antibiotics, blood transfusions, iron therapy, chemotherapy, and long term catheter insertion and maintenance. And for patient convenience, the infusion center is open on weekends.

St. Anthony Community Hospital will host an official opening and celebration for the new infusion center on Thursday, December 1, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. along with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It is prescribed when a patient’s condition cannot be treated effectively by oral medications. Typically, “infusion therapy” means that a drug is administered intravenously, but the term also may refer to situations where drugs are provided through other non-oral routes.

“I’m comfortable and I can relax and read a book while I’m here,” said patient Monica Hilley of Highland Lakes, New Jersey, “And the staff is truly loving and caring. I don’t know why anyone would want to go anywhere else for treatment.”

St. Anthony Community Hospital, a member of Bon Secours Charity Health System, is a non-profit hospital providing emergency, medical, surgical and obstetrical/gynecological acute care services to residents of southern Orange County, New York and Sussex County, New Jersey.
