Bon Secours Community Hospital, St. Anthony Community Hospital and Provident Bank Spring Classic Golf Event Huge Success
Over $115,000 Raised for Medical Equipment
Orange County, NY (June 7, 2010) – On Monday, May 17, Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY, St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, NY and Provident Bank jointly presented their first “Spring Classic,” a premier golf event held at the Wallkill Golf Club in Middletown, NY.
The Spring Classic sold out early and after registration and breakfast, 142 golfers enjoyed great weather with blue skies and mild temperatures. Everyone later attended a grand reception, which included buffet dinner, desert, silent auctions and raffle.
The event raised more than $115,000 and all proceeds will be used to benefit the Medical Equipment Fund at each hospital facility.
A major attraction for this year’s Spring Classic was the hole-in-one prize, a choice of either a brand new Ford Fusion or a new Chevrolet Malibu courtesy of Leo Kaytes Ford and Country Chevrolet, both located in Warwick, NY.
The Event Underwriter for the event was Provident Bank, the largest full-service community bank in the lower Hudson Valley.
Co-chairs for the Spring Golf Classic, which was planned by a volunteer committee for the Foundations of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, were John Bell, John Donahue, CPA. Frank Petrucci and Leo R. Kaytes.
“We are grateful to all those, especially Provident Bank, who supported our first Spring Classic,” said Steve Kent, Foundation Board Chair for St. Anthony Community Hospital. “And I would also like to thank all our co-chairs and committee members for their tireless dedication in planning this successful event.”
