WARWICK (May 9) – Three women associated with St. Anthony Community Hospital were honored May 5 as “Women of Distinction for Church and Community Service” at the annual Women’s Season Dinner of Warwick’s Union African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Honored were Judy Lindberg, St. Anthony Community Hospital’s vice president of patient services; Laurie Motejl, nurse manager in the intensive care unit; and licensed practical nurse Bessie Holmes, a member of Union AME Church, who retired from the hospital last year after 24 years’ service. Also honored were Rosemary Cooper, director of the Albert Wisner Public Library, and Jo Hull, assistant to the director of the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick.

The event, held at the picturesque Breezy Point Inn on Greenwood Lake, was attended by more than 100. The honorees each received certificates from the state Assembly, presented by Town of Warwick Justice Nancy D’Angelo on behalf of Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt; from Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton; and Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard. Rev. David L. Crumpton, pastor of Union AME Church, presented the individual awards.
