Good Samaritan Donor Program
Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center operates the only hospital-based blood donor collection facility in the region. This allows Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center to meet the blood transfusion needs of our busy surgical, trauma, oncology, dialysis and medical services.
Half of all blood used in transfusions comes from donors from our community. Over 2,000 individuals donate annually at our Blood Bank. Numerous corporate and community groups participate in annual blood drives. Individuals and groups who wish to become supporters and donors can contact us at 845.368.5178. Blood donors are always needed to keep up with demand for blood. Giving blood saves lives.
The Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Blood Bank also provides pre-surgical autologous blood services. If you are having surgery, you can, with your doctor's permission, set aside your own blood which can be reinfused during or after surgery, if needed.
Every bit helps. Last year, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center needed more than 4,000 pints of blood—every donation helps, so please schedule an appointment today.
Your choice! Donate for yourself, a family member, friend, in someone’s name or for the hospital’s general blood supply.
Used right here. When you donate at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, your blood is used
at the hospital for our community.
