Dr. Fond attended Tufts University then went on to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He received his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein Hospital. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Nirschl Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic affiliated with Georgetown University.
Dr. Fond is active in the conservative and surgical treatment of recreational and professional athletes and dancers. He has been an assistant team physician for the Washington Redskins and George Mason University. Dr. Fond is very involved in the care of varsity athletes at high schools in Rockland and Bergen Counties, including St. Joseph's Regional High School. In addition he is a team physician and an assistant professor at Dominican College.
Dr. Fond treats patients of all ages with multiple orthopedics diagnoses. This includes joint reconstruction for arthritis, fixation of complex fractures, hand trauma, and pediatric injuries.
