Andrew W. Beharrie, MD
Andrew W. Beharrie, MD, a board certified orthopedic surgeon, joined Crystal Run Healthcare in 2007. He is part of The Total Joint Replacement Center at Saint Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, New York. Previously, he was an assistant instructor in the Department of Orthopedics for Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and an attending orthopedic surgeon at Morton Plant Meese Hospitals and Largo Medical Center.
Dr. Beharrie received his medical degree from Harvard University School of Medicine in 1999. He completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylania.
Dr. Beharrie has an extensive background in sports medicine. He was part of the medical staff for the New York Jets football team and for the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team’s spring training.
He served as the principal investigator for research on elbow surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, has been a presenter at a number of orthopedic conferences, and was a member of the editorial board of the University of Pennsylvania’s Orthopaedic Journal. Dr. Beharrie is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
