Frawley Outpatient Clinic Behavioral Health Integration Program within the Bon Secours Medical Group Practices

The new Behavioral Health Integration Program is licensed under the Office of Mental Health through the Frawley Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Our new program consists of two behavioral health clinicians who are embedded within our primary care practices. The goal of this program is to treat the whole person in order to improve health outcomes and patient experiences. This program will screen, assess and identify individuals who would benefit from behavioral health support or interventions. The program also provides short-term brief therapy for patients of the Bon Secours Medical Group Practice.

What is the Behavioral Health Integration Program?

Behavioral Health Integration is the practice of blending care in one setting for medical conditions and related behavioral health factors that affect health and well-being. This type of practice looks at the “whole person” to provide high-quality health care. Our team is able to recognize that both medical and behavioral health factors are important aspects of a person’s overall health. Medical Providers and Integrative Therapists work together as a team to address a patient’s concerns. The process is delivered in a primary care setting unless patients request or require specialty services. The advantage of this program is better coordination and communication, while working toward one set of overall health goals.

What We Provide

  • Assessments for behavioral health conditions
  • Brief short term individualized therapy (approximately 6 sessions)
  • Referrals to providers within the community
  • Collaboration with primary care team

Therapy and Treatment Approach

We are committed to treating patients respectfully and confidentially. We use a welcoming, non-judgmental, solution-oriented approach to reach their mental health goals. Our therapy process focuses on a person’s present and future situations and goals rather than focusing on past experiences. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a short-term, goal-focused, evidence-based approach which helps patients in reaching their goals in a brief process rather than long term. We are passionate about focusing on the future and working together on that path toward recovery and wellness.

How to Obtain Services

Speak with your physician or medical team to initiate the referral process to our behavioral health integrative therapists. After the referral is made, an initial assessment is scheduled followed by an individualized treatment plan formulation or referral to higher level of care.
