As you walk through the Center's own entrance from the main hospital lobby, you are aware at once of an atmosphere of warmth and caring along with the assurance of professional expertise. A nurse will be available to explain the medical aspects of our services and answer any questions you may have.
Your mammogram will be performed by a certified technologist. Then a radiologist, a specialist in breast imaging, will review your mammogram.
If the mammogram indicates any cause for concern, a staff member will discuss the results and make recommendations. After the diagnostic study is concluded, the physicians at the Center will prepare a written report for you and your referring physician the same day.

The Radiology Department at Good Samaritan Hospital offers up-to-date mammography and stereotactic biopsy procedures. Our new state-of-the-art equipment ensures that your procedure will be as comfortable as possible. Mammography, Stereotactic Biopsy and other comprehensive diagnostic tests and screenings are now available in the Women's Health Center.

What do I need to bring?
You must bring a prescription from your doctor. You must bring your referral if required by your insurance carrier and any insurance information that the hospital may need. There are some diagnostic procedures that may require our RN to interview you prior to the procedure. If this is necessary, you will be notified when the procedure is scheduled.
What paperwork must I bring?
You should bring all results from previous mammography procedure.
How do I prepare for the procedure?
Do not apply powder, deodorant, or perfume on your upper body. You may eat and take all medications as directed by your doctor.
Mammographies and stereotactic biopsies are performed in the Women’s Health Center located adjacent to the front lobby in the main hospital building. They are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
